Weekend of waves and friends

Lawrencetown Beach on Saturday was beautiful. The sand was nowhere to be seen and the beachstones were abundant. The sunshine warmed our backs but most of all the waves were clean and glassy. We walked up to the point and found a grassy perch to sit and watch our friends play on the waves below...

Home Sweet Home!

After 5 weeks of coaching sprint canoe/kayak athletes in Florida, my husband arrived home last night safe and sound...





...and look what he brought back as souvenirs! A 7' Walden Wahine Summerland board for me and a 6' Kane Garden fish for him. Woohoo!!!! What a sweet surprise.

Beach Walk

I didn't get to paint today, but enjoyed a brisk walk along the little beach before Lawrencetown Beach.

The tide was rushing in quickly and the wind was strong. Can you believe a couple weekends ago I was in shorts and a tee?

I am so thrilled to share with you some exciting news... I have been welcomed as a featured artist into Club of the Waves, an international surfing, surf art, surf photography, history and culture site. It showcases the best surf artists (from Ron Croci to Heather Brown) and photographers (including our own Yazzy Ouhilal) from around the world. This is a huge honor, and a sure boost to my art career. I don't think I'll be wiping this grin off my face for a while...
